We are pleased to announce that RospaSmart training is now available in Hampshire. This local branch of RospaSmart will be a major advantage to those riders wishing to train for the RoSPA Advanced Motorcycle Test in the Hampshire area.
Alec Gore, RoSPA Diploma Holder, will spearhead the RospaSmart Advanced training program in Hampshire as Head of Training. Alec will bring valuable experience to this role, having been an Inspector with Hong Kong Police, in charge of a traffic motorcycle sub-unit - training more than 120 traffic police motorcycle riders between 2000-04.
Chris Palmer, Co-ordinator of the Hampshire branch says: "There has always been a hard core of motivated Hampshire riders in RospaSmart, but with the main meeting places in the Crawley area, it's been a hard slog to get there regularly. Now we have the best of both worlds, i.e. a local meeting place (Note Jan 18th, 2008: Venue being arranged) and we stay fully integrated with RospaSmart and gain from its extremely professional structure and its very high training standards"
Hugh Curran, Chief Instructor, RospaSmart says: "I am thrilled by the enthusiasm and energy shown by our Hampshire members and by the way that they have got stuck into the initial steps of establishing our new meeting place and detailing local training. This Hampshire branch will be a great success and I am certain that it will prove really popular in the Hampshire area. I am particularly pleased that Hampshire will have the benefit of Alec Gore's experience and capability. With people like Alec and a core of highly qualified Instructors in Hampshire, it makes huge sense to expand our growing group and to make our training more accessible to Hampshire riders".
