December EOM ride out
December 30, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 3:30 pm UTC+0
Welcome to the last announcement of 2018…..
I trust you have had a merry Christmas and are looking forward to a Happy new year. I hope you have all enjoyed your training and riding this year. There is lots coming next year for all. Keep an eye on your emails, the facebook page and also the website. We will have our usual training on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of the month. EOM ride outs on the last Sunday. Ride School in the early part of the season, a slow riding and skills handling day (or 2), two Welsh wizz trips planned and as far as I know possibly 2 more trips that have yet to have firm dates on them….
I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the upcoming Eom Ride which is this coming Sunday, the 30th December. I am showing the details again below for clarity. There is a slight change in the lunch stop. The weather is looking good so a chance to blow out some cobwebs.
John Cowburn leads the ride as follows :-Starting at “Billy’s on the Road”cafe on the A29, 2 miles North of Billingshurst. www.billysontheroad.co.uk RH149AE
How about a 0930 meet, (earlier if you want a luverly breakfast). 10am briefing/move off. Fuel one mile further north at Five Oaks BP. RH14 9AL
Lunch stop somewhere for approx 1hour, lunch at McD’s Petersfield. GU32 3BS.
Afterwards – about 2 hours and back to McD’s at Buck Barn crossroads, Worthing Rd, Horsham RH13 8LW for about 3.30pm.
As with all Group Ride Outs, please note that if the overnight temperature is forecast to be below 3 degrees C, the ride out will be cancelled automatically. There will not normally be a second notification if this is the case.
Please make sure you are fully conversant with the rules of the “BACKMARKER SYSTEM”. Following these correctly is vital to the smooth running of the day & reduces the risk of losing someone, or everyone. Details of the BM system are on the RoSPASMART website.
Thank you to all the members of the committee for their continued support for the group, our instructors who continue to help others each month and to all our members. Without you we would have no group at all. I hope you will ride safely in the coming year and get as much as you can from the available training on offer. Have fun on your bike or bikes that you ride, enjoy and keep letting us know how we can improve your time with SMART
Thank you and best wishes
